Skil 2352-01 3.6-Volt Lithium-Ion Multi-Cutter
I have owned this tool for a little over a year and it has operated flawlessly. It makes opening hard plastic see through packaging a snap. I purchase quite a few items from Amazon during the year and much more at Christmas time. I believe that Amazon should make this tool a reward for purchases that exceed a certain cumulative amount because it is so handy in breaking down and cutting up corrugated cardboard boxes used in sending many items to my home. Also, it accurately cuts gift wrapping paper on birthdays and at Christmas much faster than scissors. The auto sharp blade mechanism has kept my blade sharp since it effectively sharpens the blade automatically while it is being used. The built-in lithium ion battery has been a good performer because it holds a charge extremely well and recharges quickly. I cannot provide accurate battery usage information because it will differ for everyone depending what you are cutting and how much current is used by the motor which will vary depending upon how thick and/or strong the material you need to cut is. The only very minor complaint I have is that a safety button has to be pushed at the same time the large spring loaded on/off button to start the motor.
Overall, the Multi-Cutter, in a number of ways resembles a circular saw but is much smaller, lighter and easier to maneuver. I recommend this tool highly for most of the materials which may need cutting around the house provided the material is relatively thin. It is not meant to be used as a saw for lumber, metal or other hard and thick materials, but when used on the appropriate materials it works very well and is quite useful.
